formed in 1991 by Gary Turner, a leading trainer and
motivational speaker. Headquartered in Arkansas and serving
the entire United States and abroad, Turner Consulting is

About
Gary Turner
Gary
began his career in 1968, teaching communication at the
University of Nebraska and later at Miami University (Ohio).
After 10 years, he left teaching to become Director of
Executive Training for Hecht’s Department Stores in
Washington-Baltimore. As Corporate Organization Development
Director, he later worked at M&M/Mars before founding his
own consulting business and becoming a Senior Consultant
with HRDQ.
A high-energy, sought-after trainer, Gary speaks, trains,
and consults on collaborative processes in organizations. He
has been a requested speaker at conventions of ASTD,
Association for Quality and Participation, College and
University Personnel Association, the International
Collaborative Organizations Conference, and at annual
meetings for companies around the world.
Gary's diverse areas
of expertise include: coaching, communication, customer
service, conflict management, leadership, development, partnering,
project management, negotiating, team building, and time management.
Education: Gary completed his PhD coursework in Behavioral
Science at The Ohio State University. He holds two Master’s
degrees, one in Communication from the University of
Nebraska and another in History from Abilene Christian
University. He earned his BA from Harding University.
Accomplishments and Distinctions: Chosen as a final judge
for the International Team Excellence Award since 1997,
leader of the 1992-94 Veterans Administration project team
to win the first Reinventing Government Hammer Award, Sales
Division Employee of the Year (Mars Tie Award) for M&M/Mars,
and 2000 Philadelphia Chapter Leader of AQP (Association for
Quality and Participation).
