Dropzone
A pharmaceutical company is launching a new product and needs equipment
to produce it. Your sales and customer service team has an
opportunity to compete against other teams to win the contract. Your
team must use the best practice it can in five service areas:
Understanding the customer requirement
Designing and building a modeled solution
Producing a winning fixed-cost quotation for the customer
Creating and giving a successful sales presentation to the buyers
Demonstrating that your solution is the best over the competitors
What any successful customer service or sales person could do. Right?
There's only one catch - a computer-scoring mechanism tests your team
against the other team at each stage of the half-day game. So to win,
your team must use every strength they can.
Dropzone is incredible fun, so the learning is monumental. This session
will be remembered for a long time to come. Dropzone works best with
from 20 to 80 participants at a time. Extra facilitators are needed
for larger groups.
Learning Outcomes
Improving skill in the 5 factors listed above
Building team camaraderie and collaboration
Demonstrates the importance of teamwork for better sales results
- Highlights the need for communication across the whole organization
Sometimes we are asked to do Dropzone for its pure fun and challenge
to customer service employees. More often, the extra value of the
teambuilding along with the principles of successful sales is an obvious
lesson to be remembered. A debriefing/training activity can be added
to last from a few minutes to a few hours in order to receive a business
impact. This session can also be easily tailored to your
business and industry to make it even more fun and to
create more impact.
